Privacy Policy

The short version
Your credentials never leave your phone. Trust has no account system, no login, and no server that stores your licenses. We cannot see your credentials, and neither can anyone who compromises us — there is nothing to breach. The only data we receive is anonymous crash reports through Apple, website analytics on gettrustapp.com if you consent to cookies, and your email if you write to us. The plain-English architecture behind this is on our Privacy page; this document is the formal version.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store your credential data — license numbers, certification documents, expiration dates, photos, or PDFs. That data is written to your device's encrypted local storage, backed by the Secure Enclave, and protected by your device's authentication (Face ID or a Passkey). We have no ability to access it, and we cannot recover it for you. The app contains no analytics SDKs and no advertising SDKs. We do not collect your name, employer, location, or contacts, and we do not sell data to anyone.
What we do collect
Crash reports (app). We receive anonymous, aggregated crash reports through Apple's first-party developer tools, subject to your iOS analytics-sharing setting. They contain no credential data and cannot identify you to us. We cannot tell which credentials you have added or when you last opened the app.
Website analytics and campaign measurement (site). gettrustapp.com uses cookies in three categories, controlled by the consent banner: necessary cookies that keep the site working; analytics cookies, with your consent, to understand how renewal guides and quizzes are used; and marketing cookies, with your consent, to measure campaigns. You can change your choices anytime via the banner's settings. This applies to the website only, never the app.
Email. If you contact us at support@gettrustapp.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it to reply, and we keep the thread for as long as it's useful for support history.
Device backups
Your device may include Trust's data in its backups (iCloud Backup or local encrypted backups). Those backups are managed by Apple and by you, under Apple's terms — they don't pass through us. If you want your credential data to survive a lost or replaced phone, keep device backups enabled; if you don't, disable them in iOS settings.
How we use what we collect
Crash reports tell us whether the app is breaking. Site analytics tell us which guides and quizzes to build next. Campaign measurement tells us whether our outreach works. Support email lets us answer your questions. That's the complete list — we don't build profiles of you.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we have not done so. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf (such as our analytics provider and email host), or if the law requires it. If VectorCare, Inc. is ever acquired or reorganized, the limited data described here may transfer with the business; your on-device credential data would not, because we never had it.
Retention
Aggregated crash and analytics data are retained per our providers' standard retention windows. Support emails are kept while relevant and deleted on request. Your credential data is retained on your device until you delete it — that's under your control, not ours.
Security
The most important security property of Trust is architectural: your credentials are not on our servers because we don't have servers that store them. On your device, data is protected by iOS encryption and the Secure Enclave, behind your device authentication. For the limited data we do handle (support email, site analytics), we use reputable providers and restrict access to people who need it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests are short: we can search for your support emails and delete them, and you can withdraw cookie consent through the banner at any time. To exercise any right, email support@gettrustapp.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, so there is no "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out to exercise.
Children
Trust is built for licensed healthcare professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the update here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is material — for example, if we ever started collecting data we don't collect today — we'll say so plainly at the top of this page rather than burying it.
